5th WCSET-2016 at Vietnam

The 5th World Conference on Applied Sciences, Engineering
and Technology (WCSET 2016) was organized by the Basha Research Corporation
at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Vietnam
National University) during 02-04 June 2016. The
conference received 126 papers out of which 120 were
accepted for the oral presentations divided into seven
parallel sessions. However, only 78 papers were
considered for publication in the conference proceedings
with ISBN 13: 978-81-930222-2-1. There were total 137
participants, representing 17 countries that contributed
to the success of the conference.
Dr. Mai Thanh Phong,
Vice-Rector for R&D and External Affairs at Ho Chi Minh
City University of Technology was the Conference
Chairman, along with Dr. R.
Hafeez Basha, Vice President - Technology at
BRCORP as Co-Chair. Dr. Phung
Kim Le, Vice-Dean, Faculty of Chemical
Engineering and Dr. Huỳnh
Thanh Công, Vice-Dean, Faculty of Transportation
Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology
were the Organizing Secretaries of 5th WCSET-2016.
Prof. Hiroshi Nabetani,
Director General, National Food Research Institute
(NFRI), Govt. of Japan was the Chief Guest for inaugural
function. Prof. Amde M. Amde,
University of Maryland, USA and
Prof. Kyuro Sasaki,
Kyushu University, Japan were the Guests-of-Honour.
Dr.
Raju Aedla, Vice President - Operations at BRCORP gave
the inaugural address.
Dr. Yao-Ming Hong,
Director, Department of Landscape Architecture and
Environmental Planning, MingDao University, Taiwan;
Dr. Somchart Chantasiriwan,
Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University,
Thailand; Dr. P. Visweswara
Rao, Faculty of Agrobased Industry, Universiti
Malaysia Kelantan; Dr. Nguyen
Xuan Thanh Tram, Ho Chi Minh City University of
Technology, Vietnam; Mr. Ahmed
B. Atrah, Directorate General of Electrical
Transmission Projects (ETP), Ministry of Electricity,
Baghdad, Iraq respectively were keynote speakers during
the parallel sessions.
Field trip to Mekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh City was
arranged on the last day of the conference to visit My
Tho which included Unicorn Island, Honey-Tea Farm,
Coconut Orchard, and Boat Trip; Reunification Hall,
General Post Office, City Hall of Ho Chi Minh City, etc.
which was coordinated by Dr.
Pham Tuan Anh, Faculty of Transportation
Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology ,
