About ICREEE 2014:
Vijayawada city is chosen as
new Capital of residual state of Andhra Pradesh and the leadership of
the new government has come up with a vision of transforming Vijayawada
as Green Capital of India. In order to support this initiative BRCORP organized
the International Conference on Renewable Energy and
Environmental Engineering (ICREEE-2014) in technical collaboration with Cafet-Innova Technical Society, India at Quality Hotel D V Manor, M. G.
Road, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India during 29-31 December 2014. This
conference served as a platform to share knowledge and discuss ideas
among stakeholders including officials from the Government, Industries,
Corporate Companies, CSIR Labs, University Professors and Students.
Dr. Raju Aedla,
Conference Co-Chair gave the welcome note & introduced Basha Research
Corporation (BRCORP) and Cafet-Innova Technical Society (CITS) to the
conference participants.
Prof. Abdul Razak Mohamed,
Dean of SPA-Vijayawada (MHRD Institute, Government of India) was the
Chief Guest for the inaugural function. He discussed the various
renewable energy resources and their importance for sustainable
development especially in making a Green Capital during his keynote
address Prof. Shashi
Kumar Gupta, Former
Head of Civil Engineering Department, Koneru Lakshmaiah University was
the Guest-of-Honour. He was earlier Senior Professor of Environmental
Engineering at Waikato Institute of Technology, New Zealand. In this
keynote address he briefed about consumption of resoruces in various
countries and importance of alternate energy resources which do not
pollute environment. Dr. Ashwin Ambrose Melvin,
Research Associate at CSIR-NCL Pune gave a keynote address on use of
Hydrogen gas as a potential fuel. He also discussed about the production
techniques of Hydrogen gas and some of its applications especially in
the current scenario.
Mr. M. A. Siraj,
Journalist from BBC gave a keynote on Solar Energy and its applications
and discussed mainly on its effective usage. He mainly writes articles
in leading newspapers on energy and environment related topics. Vote of
thanks was delivered by Organizing Secretary

The conference received
more than 70 research papers in the areas of Renewable Energy and
Environmental Engineering from countries like Germany, Indonesia, Japan,
Nepal, Pakistan, Qatar, USA, Vietnam and Indian States of Andhra
Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh,
Maharashtra, New Delhi, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu,
Telangana and Uttar Pradesh. These papers were orally presented by
the conference participants using their PowerPoint slides and the
proceedings were published in the International Journal of Renewable
Energy and Environmental Engineering, ISSN 2348-0157 by BRCORP.
