Abstract: After
raising the RH levels of storage of wheat Sonalika 308
seeds with Aspergillus flavus from 60 to 80%, gradual
decrease in concentration of total free amino acid in
the seedlings was recorded besides attenuation in
nitrate reductase and urease activities. On soaking such
seeds in 2.0% solution of the sulphates of copper, iron
(Fe++) and magnesium, potassium dihydrogen phosphate,
ammonium molybdate and urea, the concentration of total
free amino acid in their seedlings was more in addition
to surge in the activity of nitrate reductase and
urease. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate proved the most
effective in augmenting the activity of the two enzymes
in the noted seedlings.
