Title:            Energy detection based spectrum sensing in cognitive radio network: GSM band

Abstract:      In this paper, energy detection based spectrum sensing technique has been focused for cognitive radio networks. Spectrum band around 945 mhz at 10 mhz sampling rate has been chosen which falls in gsm down link band. Rtl 2832 u sdr stick as well as the usrp 2 has been used in our experimental study. We capture the real time signal, coming from the bts. The signal in gnu radio and analysis the probability of false alarm, probability of detection and the probability of missed detection as the various thresholds and the number of sampling have been proposed.
