Title: Proposal of energy scavenging technique for automobile
exhaust using pyro-electricity

Abstract: With efforts targeted to
harness energy from various sources, we are tending to
get diverted from the available sources and hence reap
maximum energy from the extant sources. Automobile
exhaust- being one of them.Pyro-electricity helps us
reap out some amount of energy from vehicular exhaust
and helps in generating a few µW of energy which can be
directed towards charging of batteries while you ride
your vehicle. It is a convenient and a smart way to
employ Pyro-electricity to charge batteries on a go.
Especially when charging ports might not be available
easily during travelling this will provide a better
solution in these cases. In this paper we suggest the
application of the already established concepts of
pyro-electricity for energy scavenging form waste
automobile gases using fundamentals of micro-heat engine
principles.
